Career Timeline
Early Life
Born in Kurdistan during the eighties, Dr. Peshawa’s childhood was shaped by a deep appreciation for beauty and creativity. Fascinated by flowers and art, he began drawing passionately in primary school, always exploring new ways to express his imagination. By the time he reached secondary school, his creativity expanded further, he was designing and executing layouts for houses, demonstrating an early talent for structure, aesthetics, and innovation. Alongside these artistic pursuits, he consistently ranked at the top of his class. When he entered medical school at the University of Mosul, he promptly realized that plastic surgery would be his calling, a specialty where artistry and science unite to transform lives.
Medical School
After the Iraq war in 2003, Dr. Peshawa moved to Erbil to continue his education. He enrolled at Hawler Medical University, where his dedication and academic excellence quickly set him apart. Among 135 students, he proudly ranked 12th, a testament to his commitment and discipline. In 2008, he graduated with distinction, fully determined to pursue his vision of combining artistry and science through a career in plastic surgery.
Plastic Surgery Residency
After graduating in 2008, Dr. Peshawa began residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, gaining advanced skills and hands on experience. Soon after, he applied for the Arabic Board in Plastic Surgery and was promptly enrolled, marking the start of his journey toward board certification.
Arabic Board Certification
Dr. Peshawa achieved Arabic Board Certification in Plastic Surgery, a distinguished credential that reflects his commitment to excellence and patient safety. Alongside this achievement, he earned multiple international certifications in advanced aesthetic procedures, further solidifying his reputation as a surgeon with global expertise and recognition.
Jordan Board Certification
Dr. Peshawa earned Jordanian Board Certification in Plastic Surgery, further strengthening his credentials as a regionally and internationally recognized specialist. This achievement reflects his dedication to maintaining the highest standards of surgical excellence and patient care across diverse medical systems.
Founded the Clinic
After eight years of intensive training and education and earning double board certifications, Dr. Peshawa established the Dr. Peshawa Clinic in Erbil. Conceived as the region’s premier center for aesthetic surgery, the clinic was built on a foundation of innovation, artistry, and patient trust. It quickly rose to prominence as a beacon of excellence, serving clients from Kurdistan and Iraq and beyond with world class standards of care and transformative results.
